What to do when you encounter the "Installation Aborted" or "Unzip failed" error during installation

The installer for RiSCAN PRO is provided as a .iso file, which Windows sees as a "virtual" DVD drive.

If you have software installed that reads .iso files and then executes the .EXE file from there, this may lead to the error message "Installation aborted" or "Unzip failed", because the ISO file is not properly mounted and extracted.

You should try right-clicking on the ISO file and selecting “Open with Windows Explorer.” This should correctly mount the ISO file as a DVD drive. Once the ISO is mounted properly, the installation should run without any problems. It is important that the ISO file is mounted as a DVD drive and opened from there.
