How do I perform a refresh on a Riegl RBNE 2210 battery?

Purpose

Refreshing the battery helps maintain battery performance and capacity.

Instructions

1. Attach the battery to the scanner.
2. Connect the scanner to mains power:
   • Plug the mains lead into Power Port 1 or Power Port 2 on the scanner.
   • Do not connect the mains lead to the battery charging port.
3. Switch on the scanner.
4. On the touchscreen, press the Battery icon. (If you are using a VZ-400, navigate to Settings > Peripherals > Rechargeable Battery...)
5. From the battery menu, select Refresh. (On the VZ-400, find the Refresh Cycles field)
6. Choose the number of refresh cycles:
   • 1 cycle – acceptable
   • 2 cycles – recommended
   • 3 cycles – ideal
7. Press OK to start the refresh process.
8. Leave the scanner connected to mains power until the refresh process is complete.

Duration

• 3 refresh cycles typically take approximately 16–18 hours.

Important Notes

• The battery must remain attached to the scanner throughout the refresh process.
• Ensure a continuous mains power supply is maintained during the entire refresh cycle.
• Do not disconnect the battery or power supply until the refresh is complete.
