Convert scan failed error - "The instruction at 0x%p reference memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s."

Sometimes RiSOLVE will fail to complete a task and report the following error:

Convert scan xxx (ScanPosxxx) - Failed! Error: rimta5.exe returned code - 1073741819 (0xC0000005)  The instruction at 0x%p reference memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s. 

This will be followed by:

"Scan "xxx": File "<filepath.rdbx" does not exist!

There are two suspected causes:

• a memory issue caused by too many tasks running in parallel

• a software bug, which was fixed around August 2025

Update to the latest release version and try the processing tasks again.
